Instigated by Senior Site Manager James Beasley, Baxall staff recently took part in a voluntary community initiative to give the local Hopper Huts in Five Oak Green, Kent a much needed facelift. The Hopper Huts are primitive buildings which hop picking families would stay in during the September hop picking season during the 18th and early 20th century. Over recent years, these historic huts have been subject to deterioration and graffiti. Led by James, the team pulled together on a Saturday morning to strim and clear the grounds, clean and reseal the walls before giving them a new coat of paint. Well done to all involved and a big thank you to preferred supplier Brewers who donated overalls, rollers and paint.
