Baxall have secured two new school projects in Tunbridge Wells under the Kent County Council Principal Contractors Framework. The £8m Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys (TWGSB) and £5m St Gregory’s Catholic School projects will both provide 1FE Basic Needs Expansion, the former comprising a new two-storey teaching block, two-storey sports hall with a single storey changing facility including classrooms and studio space. In parallel, St Gregory’s will comprise a new 2-storey teaching and sports centre block and new pedestrian link bridge. Both projects will also involve demolition and extension or remodelling works to the existing dining facilities, car park and landscaping works.
The schools are currently at Stage 4 design with an anticipated construction period of November 2019 until late Autumn 2020.
