The new £10m Southborough Hub community scheme was officially launched this week with a ground-breaking ceremony hosted on site. Despite a frosty morning, the sun shone down as Mayor of Southborough Alain Lewis, St Andrew’s Medical Centre Manager Tanya Shaw, Tunbridge Wells Councillor Carol Mackonochie, Town Councillor Nick Blackwell and Kent County Council Cabinet Member Mike Hill all ‘dug in’ to mark the start of the works. The Baxall team watched alongside representatives of Tunbridge Wells Youth FC and pupils and staff from Southborough C of E Primary School, who have designed and decorated a series of panels to be erected on the site hoarding.

With completion scheduled for Spring 2021, the development will provide community rooms, a GP surgery, hall/theatre, library, football pavilion and council facilities.
