Following the devastating arson attack on Shinewater Primary and Nursery School in Eastbourne, Baxall’s Team 3 and project partners pulled together to complete the first phase of nearby West Rise School early, providing temporary alternative classrooms for the schoolchildren. The fire took hold in the early hours of Monday 12th October; while the planned handover was not due until Friday 23rd, a mammoth fast-track effort by the team ensured the teachers and children could accommodate the new 6-classroom extension by Friday 16th.
