Baxall are delighted to confirm another contract award under the Sussex Cluster Framework for the £3m refurbishment and remodelling of Hastings Central Library. A logistically challenging project, Hastings Central Library is a Grade II listed building located in The Brassey, a conservation area of Hastings, which dates back to 1880. The works package will entail sympathetic improvements, restoration and modernisation of the library, retaining and protecting all heritage features across the 5 storey building. With pre-works meetings now underway, the team are expected to commence works on site mid-May with a scheduled handover for January 2017.
