A Quantity Surveyor is involved in a project from contract award through to project handover and post-completion.
They play an integral role in ensuring that costs are controlled during the project and that the desired profit margin is achieved. The Quantity Surveyor also ensures that all parties work in accordance with the required contract conditions. The role is both office and site-based, where they undertake site measures and valuations to ensure the main contractor and sub-contractors are paid appropriately for the works completed.
