A Contracts Manager is the senior team member responsible for each project from tender stage through to handover and post-completion.

They work alongside the Client and Design Teams to ensure the project is delivered to agreed timescales, budget, quality standards and in a safe manner.  The Contracts Manager leads and motivates the in-house project team comprising the Site Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Design Co-ordinator and Buyer. While not site-based, they regularly undertake visits to carry out reviews and inspections and participate in Client meetings. It is common for a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects at any one time.
