As part of 'Team Synergy - Greg's Gang', Malcolm and his eight comrades conquered the very challenging and somewhat hilly Dorking, Surrey Hills to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice, who provide outstanding palliative care throughout the South East.

Within a few minutes of leaving the start, the team found themselves climbing Bury Hill and within 6 miles, were climbing the steep escarpment up White Downs to reach Ranmore Common. After a hilly 13-mile loop, the team cycled back down the escarpment trying to control their speed so they did not come to grief on the hair-pin bend! Once over the A25, the cycle path took them through some beautiful areas to Cranleigh and eventually a final major climb up Leith Hill and through Abinger Forest back to the start.
The on-bike computer recorded a climb of 4445 feet on the ride and a burn of over 3500 calories - a great excuse to demolish roast dinners and curries once complete!
The day was great fun. A fantastic team effort and the support and encouragement of many has to date raised close to £8000 for the Hospice. Sponsors and donations are still being greatly received and can be pledged at www.justgiving.com/teamsynergygregsgang
